How to: USA TTB Reporting
BrewMan will automatically generate your Brewer’s Report of Operations form for TTB in the system. To make this accurate, you will need to accurately use the Sales, Production and Stock functions.
To access the report, go to Duty - Brewers Report List and click Create Brewers Report in the bottom right corner. You will then be asked to set the Date Range for the report.
On your first return, click Edit in the bottom right corner to add your starting stock count, this is also where you will edit the adjustment fields if needed.
Once you have entered your starting count, the system will be able to fill in the starting amount of beer on hand for the next duty period.
This will then load the TTB reporting data. You can click Print to see a preview of the form.
You can check the data going into the report by going to Duty - Liquid Production and Holdings. This will show you an audit of the production side of the system.
Use Duty - Stock Audit to see an audit for Stock and Orders.
When you are happy with the TTB report, click Submit Small Brewers Report from within the return to lock the period.
*You will not be able to make amendments on the system after this point.*
How the information is calculated:
Additions to Beer Inventory
1)Total amount of beer on hand at the beginning of quarter:
On your first report, click Edit in the bottom right corner to add your starting stock count. This is also where you can edit the adjustment fields if needed.
Once you have entered your starting count, the system will be able to fill in the starting amount of beer on hand for the following duty periods.
2) Total amount of beer produced by fermentation, plus total amount of water or other liquids added:
The system will use liquid inputs to an assembly and the outputs from a recipe in production to calculate the amount of beer produced.

When this liquid is outputted to a packaging, it will count as Reprocessed Beer within the Liquid Production and Holdings List.

3) Beer received in bond:
You can bring beer into the system by using Stock - Stock Movements - Stock Adjustments. When bringing beer in this way to a bonded stock location, it will count towards the beer received in bond on the TTB report.
4) Beer returned to the brewery after removal from the brewery:
Credit Notes will allow you to count for beer returned to the brewery after removal from the brewery. You need to restock the items on a credit note to a bonded stock location. Follow this link to see how to create credit notes.
5) Physical inventory disclosed on overage:
Additions to stock counts from a stock take will go towards physical inventory disclosed on overage. Follow this link to see How to Perform a Stock Take
8) Total additions to inventory plus beer on hand:
All of these prior aspects of additions will then be used to calculate the TTB report for Total Additions to Inventory plus beer on hand (lines 1 through 7).
Removal from Beer Inventory
10) Beer removed for consumption or sale including beer removed tax determined for consumption or sale in a tavern on brewery premises:

11) Beer removed without payment of tax as outlined under Subpart L of 27 CFR part 25 (see Instruction #12),
Beer removed without payment of tax as outlined under Subpart L of 27 CFR part 25 can also be documented with a stock adjustment by setting the reason as losses and providing a reason.
12) Beer consumed on premises & 14) Losses, including theft:
Stock adjustments will allow you to account for beer consumed on the premises as well as any losses or thefts. Within the stock adjustment, you will be able to set the Reason by using the duty record. This can be found by going Stock - Stock Movements - Stock Adjustments.
13) Beer destroyed on premises:
Use Ullages to document any beer destroyed on the premises, follow this guide to see how to record an ullage.
15) Physical inventory disclosed a shortage:
Additions to stock counts from a stock take will go towards physical inventory disclosed on shortage. Follow this link to see How to Perform a Stock Take
17) Total amount of beer on hand at end of quarter:
Adjustments to additions or removals from a prior reporting period can be made once a report is produced for a period. Go to Duty - Brewers Report List, click into or create a report and then click
All of these aspects then enable the calculation of box 19, the total beer for the end of the reporting period.
